Contracts Director
Samuel is a member of the Board of Directors and is responsible for overseeing all Enabling Works contracts, including Civils, Demolition, and Earthworks projects. A key focus is ensuring delivery excellence and achieving client satisfaction while maintaining Cawarden’s reputation for high standards of safety and quality on-site.
As part of his role, Samuel also oversees both the day-to-day and strategic operations of the business and leads the management teams that are responsible for delivering the Enabling projects.
As the youngest son of Founder William Crooks, Samuel has spent his life working in demolition. He started as a demolition operative and worked his way up the ranks, gaining practical experience and knowledge. He is proactive in adopting new ideas, technology, and systems, aiming to create safer and more efficient working methods while ensuring Cawarden keeps progressing and adapting to the times.

What is it that you enjoy the most about working in this industry?
Collaborating with the delivery team and taking a project from its inception to completion while ensuring that the client’s expectations are met or exceeded is an incredibly fulfilling experience. It is this aspect of the job that I find most rewarding, and it keeps me motivated to continue working towards achieving the best possible outcomes for our clients.”
