Derbyshire-based specialist contractor Cawarden is pleased to announce two key leadership promotions within its Civils and Groundworks Division, effective immediately.
Mitch Townsend, who joined Cawarden in 2021 as Civils and Groundworks Manager, has been promoted to Construction Director. In addition, Andy Pickering – who joined the business in 2022 and advanced to the role of Commercial Manager – has been promoted to Commercial Director. Both have played a significant role in the growth and development of Cawarden’s Civils and Groundworks Division over the past four years.
In their new roles, they will play a key part in supporting clients, strengthening the team, and contributing to the continued growth of the division. A central focus of the company is its integrated service offer, which brings enabling and demolition works, civils, and groundworks together under one contractor – a capability not widely provided in the Midlands. This approach allows clients to benefit from a coordinated service when it is advantageous to their project, while still retaining the option to offer standalone services.
Working closely with the Board of Directors, they will help lead the business into its next phase, ensuring Cawarden continues to deliver the high safety and quality standards, technical expertise, and collaborative approach for which it is known.
Strengthening our leadership team is a key part of our strategy for the future. These promotions recognise the exceptional work delivered to date and position us strongly as we continue to expand our civils & groundworks offering and enhance the integrated service we provide to clients.”
