Derby-based Specialist Contractor Cawarden has opened the doors of its Ashbourne office to a local clothing brand, Weekend Offender, as actor and producer Leo Gregory takes centre stage to launch his new menswear collection.
When Aaron Thalmann, Managing Director of Weekend Offender, dropped by the Cawarden Ashbourne office to see if the specialist contractor would mind if their Tudor Gothic-style office could be used as the backdrop for a photo and video shoot, Managing Director, William Crooks, was more than happy to assist.
It might seem like an unlikely collision. A well-known demolition contractor and a no-nonsense functional clothing brand. But, both Cawarden and Weekend Offender are local Derby firms.
Leo Gregory, known for Green Street Hooligans, amongst other films, modelled his new jacket and tracksuit collection with the Cawarden office and grounds setting the scene. He also took the Weekend Offender Porsche for a spin as part of the filming for the marketing campaign.
It’s a pleasure to be able to help other businesses, especially when it’s a local Derby firm like Cawarden. We were only too happy to share our office for the day with Leo Gregory and the Weekend Offender team. It was nice to witness the photo and video shoot in action – something totally different from our day job! I even got a few modelling tips from Leo!”

I’d like to thank Cawarden for allowing us to use the grounds of their beautiful office to make our video. It’s so nice that two Derby companies can work together like this.”
