The development in Hoyle Street saw Cawarden demolish a number of structures including the former office accommodation of the HSBC Bank. The sprawling site, containing several three, four and five storey structures, had fallen into disrepair and generally lowered the tone of the area which had undergone a programme of regeneration.
Whilst the site contained a host of 60s concrete and brick structures, there was also a hark back to Sheffield’s industrial heritage with a large brick kiln on the site which had to be protected throughout the works.
