Cawarden has been assessed by the Considerate Constructors Scheme (CCS) and received an incredible score of 42/45, giving an overall performance level of ‘Excellent’
The scheme focuses on three key areas:
- Respect the Community
- Care for the Environment
- Value their Workforce
In respect of the local community, the report praised Cawarden’s extensive community involvement including its connections with the local YMCA, Derbyshire FA and local schools – all communicated to employees via its internal newspaper.
In reviewing environmental care, the company was noted for its multiple Green Apple Awards for demonstrating environmental best practices.
In terms of valuing the workforce, the report noted the excellent training and e-learning that covers competency and personal development, as well as healthy living advice and the promotion of mental health first aiders within the company.
These excellent audit results underline Cawarden’s commitment to community engagement, the environment, and workforce wellbeing.
