Throughout August, Cawarden placed a spotlight on wellbeing, bringing the team together through a range of activities designed to encourage connection, healthy habits and time to focus on personal wellbeing.
The month got underway with a visit from a local ice cream van, providing a welcome summer treat for the team and even a few familiar faces passing through, including Cawarden’s Royal Mail posties.
The team was then encouraged to step away from their desks and enjoy some fresh air during a Wellness Walk led by Director Samuel Crooks. The walk to the river gave the HQ team an opportunity to recharge, connect with colleagues and take a break from the day-to-day routine.
A Wellbeing Pit Stop Workshop, delivered by Health and Wellbeing Coach Tara from Uniquely You, offered practical wellbeing guidance alongside optional one-to-one sessions, giving employees dedicated time to focus on their own wellbeing. The sessions were particularly well received, with participants describing the experience as “eye-opening”, “insightful”, “human”, “calmer”, “more motivated”, “determined” and “ready to prioritise me”.
The whole experience, from the wellness workshop to the one-to-one, was very eye-opening and insightful, and Tara gave me exactly what I needed, which was a starting point.”

To help promote healthy choices, the month also included a Fruity Friday, providing the team with healthy snacks and refreshments, before Wellness Month concluded with a complimentary breakfast for all site and office teams.
Wellbeing is something we’re passionate about at Cawarden. Wellness Month was a great opportunity to bring the team together, start conversations and remind everyone that taking care of yourself is just as important as looking after the work in front of you. The engagement across the business was fantastic and it was great to see people making time for themselves and each other.”

While Wellness Month was designed to encourage everyone to take some time for themselves, it also provided an opportunity to recognise the tremendous effort shown across the business throughout the summer and thank the team for everything they do.
